Serves 4 :
500 g beef mince
1 egg
½ cup (60g) tasty cheese
2 large garlic cloves, crushed
1 medium carrot
1 brown onion
1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
¼ cup tomato sauce
salt and freshly ground black pepper
1Fit the medium FOOD PROCESSOR bowl and the fine grating disc. Grate the cheese, onion and carrot, remove the bowl and set aside.
2Fit the chopping tool into the large FOOD PROCESSOR bowl and place a few slices of bread in, run the FOOD PROCESSOR program until you have fine breadcrumbs (I didn't bother measuring the crumbs to see if it was the right amount) add the mince, grated carrot, onion and cheese, egg, garlic, mustard and tomato sauce, ¼ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper (I also added some chopped bacon). Process until mixed.
3Form into 8 equal patties and refrigerate.
4I cooked them under the grill, but you could do them however you like.

Chef’s tip

The kids loved them served with tomato ketchup (grownups had my Cook Expert made tomato chutney), mashed potato and pumpkin and steamed vegetables.
