Serves 1 loaf :
1 sachet easy blend yeast (7g)
275 ml milk
30 g unsalted butter, diced and softened
+ 1 knob
5 g salt
10 g caster sugar
350 g bread flour
1Place the yeast and milk in the metal bowl. Run the BREAD/BRIOCHE programme. After 1 minute the programme will stop. Add the butter, salt, sugar and flour; restart the programme. Place the dough (it should be sticky) in a floured bowl, cover with a damp cloth and set aside to rest for 1 hour.
2Shape the dough into a roll on a floured work surface and place in a buttered loaf tin. Set aside 30 minutes at room temperature.
3Preheat the oven to 180°C (170°C fan, gas mark 4). Bake the bread for 30 minutes. Turn out and cool on a rack.
