1 sachet of dried yeast (5 g)

140 ml of water

250 g of strong bread flour

1 tsp of salt

25 ml of olive oil

1 tsp of dried oregano

RECIPE STEPS

Use a fork to dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Leave for 10 minutes.

Add the flour, salt, olive oil, dried oregano and dissolved yeast into the bowl fitted with the dough hook. Turn the food processor on and run for about 30 seconds, until the dough forms a ball.

Leave the dough to rest in a deep dish and cover with a damp cloth for 1 hour. Make sure that it is near a heat source and away from drafts.

Preheat your oven to 200°C. On a floured work surface, use a rolling pin to roll out the dough until it is 2cm thick (approximately).

Use a knife to cut strips of dough about 1cm wide. Grab the ends of the strips and roll them to create long, round strips. Transfer them onto a baking tray lined with baking parchment, spacing them apart.

Brush them with olive oil and bake for 15 minutes (depending on your oven) until they are golden brown. Leave them them cool.
