135 g glutinous rice flour

20 g wheat starch

35 g caster sugar

100 g boiling water

10 ml peanut oil

90 g black sesame/ red bean paste mix (10g stuffed in each ball)

600 g edible oil (cooking oil)

30 g of seasame seeds

RECIPE STEPS

Using the stainless-steel bowl, attach the dough hook, before placing the glutinous rice flour, wheat starch, caster sugar, boiling water and peanut oil. Set to PASTRY programme: 1 minute 30 seconds / Speed 4.

Once formed into a ball, divide the dough into 30g pieces before covering with a cling wrap. Take a 30g piece and knead the dough into the shape of a nest, filling the centre with the paste and black sesame before closing it up and rolling the dough into a ball. Wet the surface of the dough ball and roll it in white sesame seeds. Repeat with the rest of the dough.

Using a saucepan, add cooking oil and place on medium heat for 3 minutes. Place the ball of dough and fry until fried golden brown.

Upon taking fried sesame ball out of the saucepan, place it on oil absorbent paper to remove the oil as much as possible.
