RECIPE STEPS
1
Stir the yeast into the warm water with a fork until it dissolves. Allow to rest for 1 minute.
- 120 ml water
- 7 g dried yeast
2
Put the salt, flour, sugar, butter, egg and yeast liquid in the food processing bowl fitted with the dough blade.
- 300 g strong white flour
- 120 ml water
- 40 g butter
- 25 g sugar
- 1 egg
3
Switch on. Process for 30 seconds.
4
Remove the dough from the bowl using the spatula. Transfer the dough to a floured mixing bowl.
Cover with cling film or a damp cloth. Leave to rest for 30 minutes.
5
After the first rise, knock the dough down by giving it a few gentle punches.
Turn out onto a floured work surface.
6
Divide into 6 equal pieces using a sharp knife.
Shape the dough into smooth-topped buns so that they have a uniform appearance after baking.
7
Take a shelf out of the oven and line it with baking parchment. Arrange the buns on top.
Cover with a damp cloth and leave to prove for 30 minutes.
8
Preheat your oven to 220 °C (gas mark 7).
9
Break one egg and mix with the milk. Brush the buns with egg and milk mixture so that they will golden while baking.
- 1 beaten egg (for glazing)
- 15 ml milk (for glazing)
10
Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- 1 handful of seasame seeds
11
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes until golden brown.
12
Allow to cool before eating.
13
Wash the lettuce. Peel and halve the onion. Set aside one half of the onion.
In the midi bowl with the 2mm slicing disc, slice the tomatoes, one of the onion halves and the lettuce. Set aside.
- 2 tomatoes
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 0.5 red onion
14
Cut the remaining half-onion into pieces. Transfer to the food processing bowl fitted with the metal blade and pulse 5 times.
15
Cut the meat into large pieces. Add to the food processing bowl (containing the onion).
Pulse a few times - the meat should be minced, not mashed.
Season with salt and pepper. Pulse 2 more times.
16
Shape the hamburgers with your hands. Fry them in a frying pan with a little olive oil for about 2 minutes on each side. Adjust the cooking time if needed.
17
Top each hamburger with a cheese slice. Cover the frying pan until it is time to serve.
18
Make the mayonnaise according to Magimix's recipe, halving the amounts.
19
Slice the buns in 2. Fill with tomato, lettuce, burger patty, mayonnaise and ketchup.
20
Eat while they are hot.
