500 g lean beef

1 onion

1 sprig fresh coriander

1 sprig fresh mint

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp paprika

0.5 tbsp ras el hanout (Moroccan) spice mix

2 tsp olive oil

Tips

Delicious served with steamed or mashed potatoes, or bulgur wheat.

RECIPE STEPS

Fit the food processing bowl with the metal blade, then add the mint and coriander leaves. Blend for a few seconds.

Peel the onions and cut into pieces. Add them into the bowl and pulse 5 times.

Cut the meat into large pieces. Add to the bowl. Process for 20 seconds. The meat should be finely chopped but not mashed.

Add the olive oil, onion, herbs and spices. Season with salt and pepper. Pulse twice.

Shape the mixture into small meatballs with your hands. Thread them onto skewers, about four to each one. Cook them under the oven grill, on your barbecue or in a large nonstick frying pan.

Cook for about 10 minutes. Keep a close eye on them while cooking.
