Pizza stone or baking tray

1 pizza

500 g of strong white bread flour

300 ml of water

7 g of dried yeast

1 tsp of salt

1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

1 onion, peeled and chopped

2 garlic cloves, peeled

30 ml of extra virgin olive oil

400 g 1 tin of chopped tinned tomatoes

1 tsp of dried oregano

0.5 tsp of chilli flakes

1 bunch handful of basil

1 scoop ball of mozzarella

RECIPE STEPS

Put the flour, water, yeast, salt and olive oil into the metal bowl. Run BREAD/BRIOCHE for the full 2 minute programme.
  • 500 g of strong white bread flour
  • 300 ml of water
  • 7 g of dried yeast
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

To prove the dough, leave it in the metal bowl and run EXPERT 30:00/speed 0/30°C.

Remove the dough from the metal bowl and tip on to a floured surface. Cut in to four equal pieces.

Cover with a damp cloth and allow to prove again for 10 minutes.

Move on to making the sauce. Add the onion and garlic to the metal bowl and run EXPERT 00:15/speed 13/0°C.

Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the olive oil. Run EXPERT 10:00/speed 2A/120°C.
  • 30 ml of extra virgin olive oil

Now add the tomatoes, oregano and chilli and run SIMMERING for 20 minutes. Allow to cool.
  • 400 g 1 tin of chopped tinned tomatoes
  • 1 tsp of dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp of chilli flakes

Roll out the pizza bases in to your desired shape and top with the pizza sauce, torn basil and mozzarella. (add any other toppings you fancy - olives, salami, ham, anchovies, pineapple...!)
  • 1 bunch handful of basil
  • 1 scoop ball of mozzarella

Bake at 220°C for 8-12 minutes depending on thickness.

A great Pizza have made it a few times. The sauce states 300ml Olive oil I can’t believe that is correct, I used 30 ml still felt it was to much. I would like to know the correct amount if that is possible.

I think there’s an error here. 1 Tbsp salt? way too much. I used 1 tsp salt and 1 Tbsp olive oil
