28-30cm cake tin

1 pastry

250 g plain flour

125 g butter

80 ml water

1 pinch salt

RECIPE STEPS

Fit the food processing bowl bowl fitted with the dough blade (or the metal blade for the Mini Plus). Add the ingredients.
  • 250 g plain flour
  • 125 g butter
  • 80 ml water
  • 1 pinch salt

Switch on and process for 20 seconds.

Allow to run until the dough forms a ball. Scrape down the wall of the bowls with the spatula, if necessary. Switch the processor off as soon as the dough forms a ball.

Wrap the pastry in cling film, press flat and leave in the fridge for 1 hour.

Preheat your oven to 180 °C (gas mark 4). Butter and lightly dust the tin with flour. Roll out the pastry out and transfer to the tin. Prick the base all over with a fork.

Cover the pastry with baking parchment and weigh it down with ceramic beads, dried beans or rice.

Blind bake for 20 minutes.
