Preheat oven to 170 degrees C (160 if fan forced). Grease and line a standard sized slice tray with baking paper.

Place butter, golden syrup, water and light brown sugar into the stainless steel bowl. Melt on EXPERT for 3mins/Speed3/ 100C.
- 146 g of light brown sugar
- 125 g butter
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- 2 tbsp water

Add bicarbonate of soda to the melted butter mixture and combine on EXPERT for 10 seconds, speed 7.

Add rolled oats, plain flour and coconut. Mix together on EXPERT speed 5 until combined.

- 136 g plain flour
- 146 g desiccated coconut

Place mixture onto the tray and press down firmly. Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Leave in the baking tray to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

When the slice has cooled completely, cut into slices.
Will do it again and add chopped dates pecans to it :)
