Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices.

In a bowl, mix 50 g of sugar with 60 g of butter then spread the mixture in the bottom of a tin.

Add the apples in successive layers, sprinkling each layer with a small amount of sugar and cinnamon.

Prepare the sweet shortcrust pastry by putting the remaining 100 g of butter, the remaining 50 g of sugar, the flour, water and salt into the bowl fitted with the dough hook.
Switch the machine on and run for about 30 seconds.
- 160 g butter
- 150 g sugar
- 200 g plain flour
- 60 ml cold water
- 1 pinch salt

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Make a ball with the dough and then roll it out to the dimensions of the cake or tart tin. Place it on top of the apples and tuck the pastry down the sides of the tin.

Bake for 30 minutes.
Invert onto a plate and serve warm.
Sprinkle with flaked almonds over the top.
