500 g Frozen Peas

1 tsp Coriander

2 tsp Cumin

1 tsp Black Pepper

2 tsp Salt

1 tsp Garam Masala

1 pinch Chilli Powder (optional)

3 L Sunflower Oil (for frying)

300 g Plain Flour

150 ml Hot Water

30 ml Vegetable Oil

1 Chilli (optional)

3 Garlic Cloves

1 Ginger

5 g Fresh Coriander

5 g Fresh Mint

1 Lemon

RECIPE STEPS

Start by making the pea filling. Add the oil, garlic, chilli and ginger to the metal bowl and run EXPERT 05:00/speed 1A/120°C.
  • 30 ml Olive oil
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 30 g Ginger
  • 2 Chilli's (optional)

Pulse until they are chopped up small. Pour in the peas and run EXPERT 20:00/speed 2A/120°C.
  • 500 g Frozen Peas

Mix in all the spices and allow the mixture to cool.
  • 1 tsp Coriander
  • 2 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1 pinch Chilli Powder (optional)

Now using the food processor, add the flour, oil and water and pulse until it comes together.
  • 300 g Plain Flour
  • 150 ml Hot Water
  • 30 ml Vegetable Oil

Kneed the dough into a ball and allow to rest for 15 minute.

To make the chutney combine all the ingredients in the small bowl and process for 2 minute. Pop in the fridge until ready to serve.

Grab a small ball of dough and flatten it out ready to fill. Spoon in a heaped table spoon of the filling. Bring all of the sides of dough up to the middle and twist to remove excess dough. Repeat until you have formed all the kachoris.

Heat the oil in a large pot and wait until it is hot. Drop in the kachoris and fry until golden brown.

Serve alongside the chutney.
