150 g sugar

150 g butter

150 g self-raising flour

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 eggs

50 g full fat milk

1 pinch salt

50 g strawberry jam

RECIPE STEPS

In a food processor add caster sugar, softened butter, self-raising flour, vanilla extract, eggs, salt and milk into the bowl.

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 50 g full fat milk

PULSE until all combined and no lumps. Use spatula to combine any flour around the bowl.

Grease the bowl with butter. Spoon a generous amount of jam into the bottom of the bowl. Add sponge mixture over the jam.

Cover with baking paper and foil.

Add 1 litre Water into the tank. Place the cake tin into the basket, put the lid on and cook for the time indicate or until a skewer inserted into the sponge comes out clean.

Allow to rest for 5 minutes before inverting the sponge onto a serving plate.

Server with pouring custard and or ice-cream.
